Happy Tuesday, PI friends! It's Sarah hosting on the blog, and today I'm excited to share another one of the May shape challenges. Are you lovin' these or what?! Something as simple as a shape can inspire us in so many ways. Today, we are working with CIRCLES!
This challenge is exactly that - CIRCLES! We are creating projects that include circles. Circular shapes, stitching circles, circle die-cuts - if it's a circle and it inspires you, it's a go!
Here's my take on this challenge:
Well, this for sure was inspired by circles. I used a scalloped, circle metal die, a circle punch, and lots of my circular stamps.
I mainly used the Life Right Now collection by Pinkfresh. I love that their embellishments usually have lots of pieces that work well with my layouts. For this layout, I used their chipboard frames, as well as as their die-cut ephemera.
To get that stamped background look, I used a variety of circular stamps. Any circle stamps work, but on this one, I used this Elle's stamp and this Inkblot stamp.
Use a variety of coordinating ink colors when you stamp to get a fun look to your project. It also helps create dimension when you use a handful of color.
Now, it's your turn! Join us on the PI Friends and Fans FB group to play along with our shape challenges for the month of May. We'd love to see how you create something inspired by circles!
And as always, thanks for following along and letting me share my work! If you're ready to do some shopping, make sure to visit the store and check out all of the awesome new stuff Cassie got in. There's lots to choose from. Don't forget to use code SARAH for that 20% off discount!
