Hello! Stacie here with my take on yesterday's sketch. I loved a stitched background and couldn't wait to make it similar to the sketch. The background paper is from the older collection Vicki Boutin Let's Wander and it has the subtle pointillism rainbow and it was the perfect paper for our holiday pictures from Florida.
Here is the original sketch by Melanie. Check it out below and see how I was inspired by her beautiful sketch.
Here are a few close ups of the details. I layered Vicki Boutin's Let's Wander dotty paper and mixed in lots of ephemera layers from the same collection as well as little bits from past Paper Issues Swag Bags and Scrapbook Kits. The Bella Blvd Florence Alpha stickers are always a fave to use on layouts!
The white frames are free cut files from Paper Issues.
Both heart frames are from the set You've Been Framed!
Elle's Studio puffy hearts in place of the stars with white acrylic paint splatters to follow the sketch details. I love the wood veneer hearts banner to coordinate with the Fancy Pant wooden button stickers.
The repetition of the dots in the background and the FP wooden buttons adds dimension and bigger pops of color. Pretty Little Studio has such cute ephemera title words like the one I used: vacation!
