Scraplift Sunday is a Winner!

 Hi, friends, good morning! Wendy here with you to start your week with a new Scraplift Sunday. Today we are lifting a super fun layout from Katrina. You can view it by clicking here. Isn't it fun and inspiring?! There are so many things you can be inspired by-- the color blocking, the monochromatic layered clusters, the layers, the doodling, the title and subtitle, or even the number of photos. So. Many. Options!! Take a look at my layout. 

Keeping in the spirit of a fun layout, I pulled out Carta Bella Family Night and Simple Stories Family Fun. Both collections work well with each other and can be easily interchanged. Both of these lines are no longer in the store unfortunately. If you've been following along with my posts, you're familiar with the fact that I am a paper hoarder and have a difficult time cutting into brand new collections.

What I liked most about Katrina's layout is the color blocking and the design. It reminded me of the Triopoly game board I recently taught my kids to play. I used patterned papers mainly from Carta Bella. Because I picked patterns, I didn't want to add the second layer that would cover a good bit of that. Where Katrina doodled, I stitched a border instead. I also used two photos and color coordinated my embellishments (both Carta Bella and Simple Stories) to the papers just like she did. I included two labels from Pretty Little Studio and added my journaling there. This layout was so fast! Take a look at some of my up close detailed photos.
