1970's Mood Board | Sarah

Happy Thursday, PI friends. It's Sarah (IG: @redoaklines) back on the blog today, and I'm talking more mood boards. Have you been seeing all of the inspiring mood boards this month?! So much color and creativity to take in.

Today, I wanted to show you my take on the 1970's mood board. Here's what I created:

Groovy, right?! My inspiration came from the board below:

I mostly focused on the color scheme here. I loved the vintage colors, and I knew right away which papers and embellishments to use. The first collection that came to mind was Hello Today by Simple Stories.

This collection definitely has a vintage feel to it, no?

Also, I saw that the 1970s mood board had a rainbow on it. I remembered that there were lots of rainbow color themes spread throughout this collection, including some of the papers and embellishments.

I wanted to add some mixed media to my layout, so I used some watercolor with this Altenew stencil. It can be found here in the store. Don't you just love that plus sign look?! I stuck with brownish watercolor to coordinate with the patterned papers and die cuts that I used from the Hello Today collection.

Okay, that's all I have for today. What'd you think of my 1970s take?! Are you ready to take a hit at some of the decade mood boards posted over on the PI Friends and Fans FB group? Which decade will inspired you? Share what you create; we'd love to see it.

As always, thanks for following along and letting me share my work. If you're ready to do some shopping, hit up the Paper Issues store and check out all of the new stuff. There's lots to choose from. And don't forget to use code SARAH for that 20% off discount.

Until next time,
Sarah
