Free File Feature: All About the Numbers

It's time for a new Free File Feature and today we are playing off of the Decades theme by focusing on number cut files or designs featuring a number. We've got you covered for past years, number titles, birthdays or anniversaries, graduations, and more!

First up is Jessica with this mega-sized date cut file to document her Fourth of July celebration!  She used the July month cut file with the PI July scrapbook kit and Elle’s Studio to document pictures of Jessica with her son at a 4th of July picnic! The large vertical cut file, layered mixed media, use of stencils, and textures makes this design absolutely sparkle! Check out the stencils and try this technique of layering them under your cut files!

Next is Cassie with a birthday celebration! Cassie said, "I used the new Bubble Numbers cut file as part of my title on this page. These numbers were perfect to document my daughter turning 14. I used the Altenew Our Family collection kit because I knew the bold black and white patterns with the watercolor papers would be a perfect fit for who my daughter is now. This layered look is so cute with the prints and patterns!  The numbers are the perfect addition to this birthday photo shoot! These papers are so versatile and the watercolor cool vibes are beautiful layered up like this design!

Wendy joins us with a list of her fave things about her husband with the Open Numbers Background cut file. Wendy said, "When I saw this cut file my immediate thought was to create a list. Any kind of list because the lists in my life are endless. But, I like to document a current list about why I love my husband. Every year brings a new season and a new reason to love him more and I want to live in the moment and remember it." This is absolutely the sweetest way to list the reasons we cherish and celebrate a loved one! Wendy is stashbusting old Crate Paper Love collection for her project. She watercolored the open numbers using Ranger Tim Holtz distress inks and outlined it in a darker color of thread. Love this way to use a cut file as a template to watercolor or do mixed media!

Balloons aren't just for birthdays, Melanie is celebrating #3 the Gotcha Day for her sweet pups. She used the cut file Bubble number balloons.  Melanie used a fun mix of patterned papers from PhotoPlay Birds of a Feather including backing the number balloon in the beautiful, bold Spread Your Wings paper, title words in Bella Blvd Aria letters, and she topped off this fabulous design with a mix of stitching. The bold black thread and her stamping pops against the papers! The photo strip of pictures is the perfect balance next to the super-sized cut file number balloon!

Katrina is joining us next with her pups! Katrina determined that her dogs look liked they were planning, so "1,2,3 Summer" was the perfect title using the Bubble Number Balloons and Carta Bella's Summer collection. The sequence of dog pics is the cutest countdown along with the embellished number balloons. Backing the cut files like this is a great way to introduce several patterns on one design like Katrina did! Colorful and cute summer vibes right here!

Stacie here, and I am wrapping up our Design Team Numbers Cut File Round Up with the Open Numbers Background cut file. This file works great with back to school or grade level pictures.  I backed only his grade level number with patterned paper from my PI swag bag kit. To mute out the other numbers, back them in vellum and have the stenciled stars peek through the cut file. The rest of papers and embellishments are a mix from the past few summer months of scrapbook kits from Paper Issues. The Vicki Boutin star stencil added little pops of color of distress oxides to match with the pictures and tags. The mini tags are from Elle's Studio and they are the perfect (cutest!) layering embellishment. The Studio Tekturek flair adds the perfect school sentiment. I aimed for the repetition of circles from the background, enamel dots, tags, and the flair as well as white acrylic splatters! Grab the restock of Florenece alphas from Bella Blvd for stacked alpha sticker titles like this one!
