In a slump? Do what you love

We all go through it a creative dry spell, a slump or the blues. Whatever name it is you choose it means the same. You're surrounded by pretty supplies, you sit to do something, anything and wind up browsing the shop, looking for inspiration on pinterest, or paying more attention to your cat/dog then creating anything. You have full intentions, time isn't the problem, ability isn't the problem, choice of pictures isn't an issue you have thousands. So what to do when you sit there and thing blaaah and nothing seems to work? Get back to what you love, what you enjoy most in scrapping its the only way to go.

This creative outlet is different for everyone so what you may just love doing someone else may be like eh but we don't create for them. We create for us, for our memories, for our outlet, for our families. For me I enjoy a little mess, layers piled high, tissue paper, some splatter and looking back on some of my favorite photos. Yes, gasp, I'll recycle a photo and not give it a second thought. But doing what I enjoy has kicked me out of my slump.

I gathered up some of the oh so gorgeous Cocoa Vanilla Studio Bohemian Dream. It is full of flwoers and purples, soft blues and pinks. It says "layer me Ann give your page some depth" and I did. I started off with some Dylusioins paint and oh my it is some serious color stuff.  I softened that up a bit with some white spray and added some Dylusions Rose Quartz from the shop to help balance that out. Used some of Cassie's tissue she sends in the packing and just piled things on. It was my fun and what I enjoy with scrapping and it dug me right out of the slump.

 

Pile I do I love depth and layers it is just so much fun who needs flat when I can have it all jump off the page, quite literally.

This to me is fun and in a slump I am no more. So if your feeling a bit blaah and don't know how to dig out of it simply do what you love. Enjoy what you create and have fun!
