Hi Ladies! I cannot believe that tomorrow is December, that seems so crazy! With December comes the time of year when memory making and documenting goes into over drive! Whether you are trying to catch up on your December albums from years past or stay current for 2017 Damaris and I want to bring a little inspiration your way!
Each year I like to buy one coordinating paper line for my December Album. For 2016 I used the Special Delivery line from Carta Bella. My theme last year was red, black, white and plaid so this line really worked for me! For 2017 I plan to use the Snow & Cocoa line from Crate Paper!
As you can see, I don't get too crazy with the embellishments and my album is definitely picture heavy!
I also don't number my days in the traditional "December Daily" format. I like to take photos as things happen and then I just ensure that I document the most memorable moments or our favorite photos!
Some of my favorite bits that are must haves in my December album (in addition to my coordinating paper line and embellishments) are Color Cast Designs acrylic and wood pieces, enamel dots, and tags!

Since everybody crafts in their own unique way Damaris has joined me today to share her 2016 December album as well. Damaris used mainly Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa, but also included My Mind’s Eye, Elle’s Studio & Fancy Pants.
I have never been good at mixing up different lines to make my project look cohesive, but Damaris does a really good job of that here by blending not only different lines but manufacturers as well.
Damaris does number her pages but certainly doesn't limit herself to one photo a day - or even one spread per day. I think it is so much more important to document the memories than keep track of numbers and days!
I also love that Damaris used black and white photos throughout her album. It is so much less pressure not having to match paper themes with your photos and I am all about less pressure during the holidays!
Damaris took her album all the way through NYE - what a fun way to end her December memories album!
You can check out even more details from Damaris' December album on her blog!
We can't wait to see your 2017 December Memory album so be sure to share your progress (or catch up) with us in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook Group!
And then there's the joy of looking at past December albums... I just strolled thru 10 years of mine... can't believe I've been doing it so long. My style has evolved over the years, and the past 4 have been all digital, but there is so much joy, love, and memories on every page of every album....wouldn't miss it!!
