Good morning, friends! Wendy here with you today to share with you this weeks new Scraplift Sunday inspiration. This week we are lifting a gorgeous layout from Kim. You can see it by clicking here. I hope you think it's just as amazing as I do. What I love about Kim's layout is center focus and layers. But really, you can be inspired by anything-- the mixed media, the circles, the colors, the scripty title, the flowers. There are so many things be inspired by to make your own version. Take a look at the layout I created.
You might recognize this photo from last week. As I said, it was severely damaged from some reason so trimming it down into a circle definitely worked and was a wonderful way to save it. What I loved about Kim's original layout is the pile of circles and the mixed media behind the circles. This had me reaching for my Paper Issues The Good Part kit, which, not surprisingly, has sold out. I pulled out the sheet with the mixed media border and the sheet with all the circles and fussy cut several to layer in the center of the paper. I stitched a border on each circle in a slightly brighter, darker color for contrast and added florals from the ephemera pack included in the kit.
If you aren't familiar with our kits, let me tell you a bit about them. They are so popular and sought after that they are quick to sell out. If you see a kit you like, snag it as fast possible! I love them because they include everything you need to create a layout and usually includes something extra such as alphas, ephemera, inks, or stencils. One of the things I love to do with my Paper Issues kits is pull some embellishments from my stash. I do this in efforts to stretch my kits and make them last longer and in efforts to go through my stash even in the smallest amounts. With that being said, I grabbed the Thickers title from my stash, coordinating cardstock stickers from Pinkfresh Studio, epoxy shaped hearts from Bella Blvd and word phrase stickers from Pretty Little Studio. This was a very fast layout to create and not nearly as detailed as Kim's, but I am very happy with the outcome. Take a look at some up close photos of my project.
Now it's your turn to get creative with this scraplift challenge and I hope you are feeling inspired! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Remember to upload your new creations in the May challenge album of the Paper Issues Friends and Fan Facebook group. For each new project you enter, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a Paper Issues gift card! You could be a winner so what are you waiting for?!
