All This Happiness for Scraplift Sunday

Good morning, everyone! Wendy here with you to start your week with a new Scraplift Sunday layout! This week we are lifting one of Sarah's layouts and you can see it here. What I love about Sarah's layout are all the simple embellishments that works with any layout and isn't too themey. I love implementing labels, tags, stitching stickers, and tabs. All of those things work well with any theme or simple shape. I was also inspired by the circles on her page. I hope you checked out her layout to see all the things YOU can be inspired by! Let me show you what I came up with.

I loved the little circles all over Sarah's layout and immediately thought of my giant stash of flair. I thought that using those in place of her die cuts would be a great way to get them out of my stash and onto a layout. But before I added the flair, I started with a white cardstock base. I pulled out my Well Rounded stencil and used distress inks in Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves, Stormy Sky, and Tea Dye. I thought those colors went perfectly with the Pretty Little Studio Grateful Heart collection I wanted to use.

There is a good chance you might recall seeing this photo recently! That's because I scrapped it using this same collection. I often scrap the same pictures over and over. I have multiple album sets going for my kids, our immediate family, extended family, and maternal and paternal grandparent sets for both my husband and I. Trust me, it's a lot of pictures! But that's why I love our challenges so much. I can scrap the same photo different ways for different looks for different albums. I can't remember the last time my brother and I took a photo of just the two of us together. The last one that comes to mind is my wedding over 12 years ago. So this is a special photo to me. Scrapping this photo both times, I immediately pulled Pretty Little Studio because of my yellow hat. With all that in mind, and my mixed media already laid out, I grabbed the flair I thought would go best. From there, it was all about the simple embellishments.

I layered papers and cut tags o go behind my photo, added Sweet Spice Labels, flowers from the Floral Centerpiece die cuts, flags, stitching stickers, and word reflections. My chipboard sticker title, black splatters, and stars came from a Vicki Boutin Thickers sheet. I added Mixed Berry sequins and called it done. My layout is a little more cluttered than Sarah's, but if you know me, I am a throw-everything-on-the-page kind of girl. Have a look at up close photos of my layout.

Now it's your turn to get creative with this scraplift challenge and I hope you are feeling inspired! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
