Hello! Rachelle here and I am so excited to share first blog post as part of the Paper Issues team!
I figured I would start out sharing a few things that I love. Some of them are obvious (like family and creating), but there are several other things that I am passionate about.
I used the Posh collection from Simple Stories to create this layout. It has several of my favorite colors and designs, so I thought would add to my "love it" theme. I am also a sucker for wood grain paper.
One of my most favorite things is to wake up to the sweet lyrical sound of the birds.
There is just something about listening to their songs and shrill chatter amongst each other that makes my heart happy.
Walking has always been something I have enjoyed, although it wasn't something that I did on a daily basis until I picked up a fitbit last May. I never would have imagined that a device would be a huge motivator for movement. Reaching 10,000 steps in a day is easy enough to do and my legs not only look better, but they feel better.
And then there are flowers. Flowers just make me happy. We have a small balcony off of our apartment and I have several hanging baskets and rail baskets that I fill with flowers.
I am enamored with floral print patterned paper. Always my favorite. I have a slight fabric obsession with floral prints, too. Surprisingly, with my adoration of flowers, we don't have a lot of floral decor in our home.
When I am not creating, I can usually be found with my nose buried in a book, especially early in the morning as the sun comes up. Sitting on the balcony with a cup of coffee, my flowers, and the birds is my favorite time to do so, and often the only time it is comfortable to be outside in the Texas heat and humidity.
Reading online medical journal articles is also something I do often, although without a medical or scientific background, a lot of it is well over my head, but I can generally find an understanding after reading and researching. It's enough to get a small understanding of what I feel is important to know and be able to communicate {somewhat} effectively.
I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me.
