Take 5 Tuesday Challenge - July!

Hello friends!  It's Mary Ann here again with this months Take 5 Challenge. Let's get right to it with the July inspiration and ideas list. If you're new to Take 5, be sure to read all the way to the bottom of this post for info and to join in on the fun, you could win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store, and have your project featured on the Paper Issues blog!!
And here's my layout, using the color red, the color blue, patterned paper, a black and white photo and sequins. The pretty papers are from Pebbles new America the Beautiful collection, and the ephemera embellishments are from Elle's Studio Sunny Day collection, and more of the Pebbles America the Beautiful.

The red gingham check paper reminded me of a backyard barbeque. Add in the watermelon die cut and it's perfect to use with this photo of my mom from the 50's, helping with the barbeque in my grandparents backyard :) The America the Beautiful collection is wonderful for your 4th of July layouts, but works so well for regular everyday photos too!!

This was a quick and easy layout to put together, that started by cutting the largest floral square, then using my paper trimmer to cut out a smaller square from the center. I added both squares to the red gingham paper, did a little machine stitching around the edges, then layered on my embellishments, photo, title and a few sequins. Another layout completed for the family history album!

How about more projects from the design team??

Here's a fabulous card by Lisa that uses the colors white and blue, a tag, patterned paper and a star (well five stars actually!) I always love the layering Lisa adds to her cards, see that cute little charm hanging from the clock!!

Michelle used the color white, alpha letters, pattern paper, star and sequins along with lots of bits and pieces from Cocoa Vanilla Studio for her layout. The grid design looks great on this Michelle!

This 4th of July layout from Orange is amazing, and wow, look at those fireworks!! Head over to the Paper Issues store for a FREE firework cut file!!! Along with the fireworks, Orange used white, blue, red, patterned paper, sequins and stars.

Becky really mixed it up for this amazing layout! There is Shimelle's Starshine, Dear Lizzy's Serendipity, a little Pink Paislee Bella Rouge, a few Maggie Holmes tags, and even some Color Cast Acrylic too!  Those all add up to pattern paper, stripes, chipboard, polka dots and a paper punch as her 5 inspiration items.

This cute popsicle layout by Dannielle has the color blue, alpha letters, patterned paper, a star and stripes.  Don't you love how she used the popsicle in place of the "I". So very clever!!

Tegan's darling layout of her niece uses white, patterned paper, chipboard stickers, polka dots, and stripes. What a perfect way to remember Ella's day at the beach!

The new America the Beautiful collection by Pebbles looks great on this layout by Chelsea! Her 5 inspiration items are the colors red, white and blue, a star punched border and alpha letters. That reminds me I need to get out my border punches and use them again! Thanks for the reminder, Chelsea!

You can't help but smile when you look at this Selfie layout from Janet. She uses the color red, star, stamp,  a black and white photo of sweet little Dex and alphas. Dex is a great selfie taker for sure!

Rachel's layout highlights a family trip to Fort McHenry in Baltimore, MD. Her layout has a combination of the colors red and white and blue, stars and patterned paper. I love all the stars scattered across her page!

So what do you think? Some fabulous idea from the design team...am I right??  If you've played along with the Take 5 Challenge before, you know what to do, but if you're new to Paper Issues, or our Take 5 challenge, here's a quick recap of how it works...

You can use more than 5, and combine your own ideas too, but to play along you must use at least 5 items from the list. Also, Take 5 is open to everyone, and is for scrapbookers, card makers, pocket pagers and off the page project makers too! If you are a paper crafter, this challenge is for you!!  You have until midnight EST August 1st to add your project to the  July Take 5 Challenge album over in our Paper Issues {friends & fans} Facebook group. You could win a gift certificate to the Paper Issues store, and be featured on the PI blog!!
