Happy Thursday, PI friends! It's Sarah back on the blog today, and I'm talking all about sweeeeeeeetness up on here. Yup, you read that right. I'm talking all things CAKE. Yum!
One of this month's challenges invites you to create a project about cake! So that means - use a cake photo, use some cake embellishments, stack up your papers to create a tiered masterpiece, or maybe even layer your papers or embellishments like a cake.
Here's my take on this challenge:
Well, that was a given - I used a photo with a birthday cake in it! But, I also thought it would be fun to layer and stack up (just like a cake, right?!) these decorative tags down at the bottom of my layout.
Anyway, I used lots of patterned papers and embellishments from the Howdy collection by Simple Stories.
I also did a little bit of mixed media work on this layout. I used stencils, watercolors, and even stamped directly onto my cardstock. Make sure to check out the store for all of those latest stencils; they really do add a fun background to any project!
