Happy Taco Tuesday, y'all!
It's the best day of the week! Kisha here to share my vision of the Paper Issues November Taco Tuesday challenge! The objective is to show off your folding techniques and create something delicious. I had so much fun with this one.
I started my layout by creating my own folded tacos. First, I cut out the shape of the shell by folding a sheet of paper in half and cutting a half circle from a yellow patterned paper, punched circles for the beef out of brownish black paper, cut long strips for the shredded lettuce out of green patterned paper and short strips of cheese from a yellow patterned paper, as you can see at the bottom of this photo. For the taco shell, you could also cut, or punch a circle, then fold in half.
Next, I used the wet paper technique to make the beef. I took the punched circles, sprayed them with water, then wadded them up to dry.
Once they dried, I pulled them apart a little and cut them in half. I then glued the half circles on the inside along the outer edge of the shell.
After those dried, I folded the taco shell paper and attached the two sides together on the inside with adhesive, making the front edge just a little lower than the back to give the bottom of the shell a little dimension.
Once I had the main body and beef assembled, I tucked in the small yellow strips randomly for the cheese, and wrinkled the long, green strips and glued them randomly on top. This is the mini taco that sits on the top of the photos. I added red enamel dots as diced tomatoes! The NO signs were made from a circle punch. I punched the outer circle, then the inside circle, and cut a strip that I glued underneath for the center piece.
For the layout, I used Fancy Pants Peachy Keen paper, Vicki Boutin Fernwood and Color Study papers, Buenos Dias paper, Ciao Bella stencil, Distress oxides, Jen Hadfield ephemera and gold leaf stickers and Bella Blvd alphas.
