Hi, everyone! Wendy here with you to start your week with a new Scraplift Sunday. Today we are lifting one of Jessica's layouts. You can see that here. This is such a fun layout because she originally made this layout for the 80's mood board and I went in a similar direction with that theme. There are so many things to be inspired by--- the mixed media background, the stripes, the giant triangle, the number of photos, the ephemera and embellishments. The possibilities are endless!
As I said, I stuck with a similar theme. I chose a picture of my parents from the 80's and did a lot of stashbusting starting with the cardstock strips. I mean, how many of us have whole sheets of colored card stock because we all use to have colorful backgrounds. So I dug that out. I coordinated the colors to a very old Crate Paper line from 2014 called Notes and Things. I have a full sheet of the chipboard from that collection and I am trying to do better at using some older product. I also thought the colors would compliment my older photo. I added some hand stitching to the strips. You know by now that is a definite must! Next I added the Triangle Floral free cut file. I've been dying to use it for so long and this is the first time I cut it. I added the chipboard from that collection as well as some Pink Fresh Studio stickers from the In the Mix collection. The colors matched perfectly. There's also a few from the Keepin' it Real and Noteworthy collections. I like the cardstock stickers they have in their collections because they can practically be used with anything! The teeny tiny hearts are from Pebbles. This was a really fast lift aside from the stitching. Have a look at couple detailed photos of my layers.
