Scraplift Sunday with McJen

Hello Paper Issues friends!

Thank you for joining in on the fun today as I share a project for this week's Scraplift Sunday Challenge using Anita's gorgeous layout as inspiration.

While Anita's project is beautiful and feminine in nature, I went the opposite direction and created a boy layout using the My Mind's Eye Blast Off collection available in the Paper Issues Store.

First, I used shimmery white watercolor paint and smooshed it onto the background paper. That was followed by splatters of the same paint in white and blue. I used the exclusive Paper Issue's Blast Off! free cut file with the hologram paper in the MME collection where Anita used a flower.

Embellishing was next and I used the ephemera and enamel dots from the same collection.

At the urging of my son, I added a bit of journaling to the layout and called it good.

I love Anita's original layout and the inspiration she provided.
