Happy Friday and welcome back to to Free File Friday! Today we are showing you how to use the new cut file released earlier this week, Mom Life. It's not just for Moms! Try any of these on a project about you, your mom, aunt, sister, best friend, create a thank you card, or even use it on a day in the life page!
To start our round up of projects, I documented a Mother's Day photo of my mom and I (it's pretty rare to have a photo without one of the grandkids on it). Next, I added mist and gelatos to the background paper and layered white gesso over all of it to soften the bold Maggie Holmes paper. I cut the heart file in black and white cardstock to layer it and shadow it against the busy paper. Check out my blog for more details if you're interested.

Devra created this beautiful layout with documenting this sweetest photo of her mom when Devra was a baby! I love the scallops cut out of patterned paper and the layers of Oh My Heart Thickers, puffy stickers, and embellishments. See the cut file 'my mom' as part of her title and how cool it looks layered with mini hearts paper. I am inspired by Devra to get one of my childhood photos on a page soon!
Anna played along with the same love heart, but I adore how it has a totally different look with the mixed media colors behind it and the stitching is oh, so pretty! The word 'you' is from the Be You cut file. I love the Maggie Holmes Chasing Dreams collection for this beautiful color scheme. The butterflies are so playful and add to the beauty of her adorable photo.
Here's another by Anna for this month's issue and she used 'mom moments' for it. How sweet is this lovely pic of Anna and her mom!? I love the look of the white on white background with the scattered hearts.
Get your cutting machine out this weekend and try out a cut file or ten!
