Hi friends! It's Rachel and I'm back with this month's Roll the Dice Challenge! This is the third month my boys have helped me roll the dice and now they know exactly what to do! They love helping me out. One of the joys of scrapbooking for me is having the boys involved. It's fun to see their faces when they see themselves on the layouts I create.
If you are new to this challenge, we roll the dice two times to see what our challenge will be. The first roll was the number two for two photos! The second roll was three for three different washi patterns to use on your layout! I wanted to use washi this month because most of us probably have a jar or drawer stuffed full of washi that rarely gets used. It looks great, but now it's time to get it out and use it!
For my layout, I used American Crafts Little By Little by Shimelle! I started with the A to Z 12x12 paper. My inspiration for this layout was the scallops. I wanted to include as many of the beautiful papers in my layout as possible. So I used my Cricut to cut out several scalloped strips of each paper. Then I layered them on top of each other and hand stitched each one. I enjoy hand stitching in the evenings while I watch tv. My two photos are of my cute boys and the washi I used are actually strips that can be found in the sticker book. There are also washi rolls that coordinate perfectly with this line. Love the look of Little by Little?! Find it here in the Paper Issues store!
Now let's take a look at how the rest of the Design Team conquered this challenge! You can click on each person's name to find their blog or Instagram account!
Ali used the new Dear Lizzy Lovely Day for her layout! Her title is perfect and I love how her paint splatters perfectly coordinate with the fun her kids had with chalk paint!
Amanda used Hazelwood to create this beautiful layout. I love everything about it! This line also has coordinating washi tape!
Pol also used Hazelwood. Great minds think alike! It's perfect for her beautiful photos from her Sunday walk.
Annelie used Cocoa Vanilla Studio's Make A Wish to document her daughter's birthday celebration. I think her use of the washi and embellishments make this just adorble. And the cake looks amazing too! Yum!
Cat used the new Pinkfresh Dream On. I seriously love everything about this! Cat's style rocks and who doesn't love rainbows and paint splatters?!
Elodie used American Crafts Little by Little too - along with my favorite paper in that line: Bear Hug! She used washi to create a heart on her white cardstock! Brilliant!
Stacie just got back from the beach and created this fabulous layout with Amy Tangerine's On A Whim collection. It's fun and whimsical! You can find the matching washi here!
Now it's your turn to play! Create a layout with two photos and three different washi patterns. Then share it with us in our March Challenge album under Roll the Dice in our Facebook group. I can't wait to see what you make! Need some more paper & embellishments?! Use my code RACHEL to save 20% off your purchase! XOXO
Amazing challenge! Great inspiration. Using 5 washis looks easy with all your work!
