..:: mix it up monday ::..

Orange Gearle here with The March Mix It Up March Challenge: Create texture on your project by using some sort of wet media.

Options might be: Texture paste, acrylic paint, gesso, gel medium, whatever you have on hand. Use stencils, fabric, stamps, cloth, or even wood veneer to create a texture type pattern on the project.

I used texture paste with a stamp and then painted over it with watered down stamping ink. Here's my take on the challenge:

The stamping texture is a bit hard to see in the big photo, so here is a close up.

I made a process video, if that suits your fancy!

Here are a few more examples from out Design Team!

I love the visual and physical texture that Pol added when she made this background! The little rips and that brick background is fabulous!

Amanda made this beautiful mandala for her background using texture paste and acrylic paint. It is absolutely beautiful, don't you think???

Annelie used modeling paste and a circle mask for this happy layout. I love the Cocoa Vanilla Studio goodies on this one!

Check out this selfie layout by Stacie! She used Heidi Swapp metallic texture paste with a stencil and some goodies from Amy Tangerine's On A Whim Collection. I love it!

I so hope you play along this month! Be sure to upload your take on the challenge in our March Challenge Album for a chance to win a gift card to the Paper Issues Store. I can't wait to see what you make!
