It's my favorite Monday again -- Mix It Up Monday with Orange Gearle (that's me)! This month we are focusing on PAINT!
I used acrylic paint and a flat paint brush to create a basic grid designed background of squares to hold my embellishments, photo, and title. I also used a mask to make polka dots of orange paint.
I pulled inspiration (especially the colors) from some SWAG bags and used a few cards and embellishments from the yummy bags. I added some other embellishments from my stash.
I kept the video rolling while I created this layout and if it suits your fancy, you can see that below.
Rachel Kleinman played along this month, too! Here's her fantastic project.
I am completely in awe of her beautiful background! Beautiful colors and texture. Her layouts amaze me errrrrytime.
If you are someone that uses acrylic paint on your project frequently -- do it and share it with us-- and if this isn't your typical 'go to' medium, we invite you to try a little something new! Use a little bit of paint like I did, or make it your entire background like Rachel. Either way, share your page in the June Challenge Album on the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group! You have until July 4th to play and there are prizes to be had!
There are a quite a few new items that were added to the store in the last few days. Grab what you need and use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your order!
Love both layouts!! Orange...the video is so great!
