Happy Swag Bag Sunday everyone. I am very happy to be back again sharing another layout I made with the Paper Issues' Swag Bags. If you don't know what they are, click here, but basically, they are little bags of awesomeness for only $9.99!
I used both the May and June Swag Bags to make this layout about my son trying lemonade for the first time and how it was basically love at first sip.
Most of my layouts I make have a paper strip along the top and bottom of my page. I really wanted to do that for this page, but wanted to make an effort to really only use stuff that came in the swag bags. So, I just trimmed some strips from a few 3x4 cards that came in the bags, then lined them up. You can see the edge a bit where the sections meet up, but once I sewed along them, you can't really tell anymore.
The only thing on the layout that didn't come in the swag bags, were the shipping tag and the mist I used. I love all the little bits that come in the bags, like the wood veneer and paper clips. They're perfect for layouts, cards, or even Project Life spreads.
I know what you're thinking, but the title isn't spelled wrong. My son just really accentuates when something is good and says delicious with a really drawn out E sound. I had to make sure I included that idiosyncrasy in my title. I loved that little puffy bee sticker and obviously, the lemonade die cut was my inspiration for the layout.
As always, I even found a away to incorporate the washi tape that was holding the glassine bag shut that my swag bag came in.
I just got my July swag bag and cannot wait to start creating with it. I can't even believe how awesome it is! You get enamel dots, doilies (yup, more than one), an exclusive flair badge and an exclusive feltie from Parker on the Porch. You should definitely grab one now, as they are not going to last!
