Fan Feature Friday: Making it Merry #1

This week's Fan Feature Friday showcases projects from the first week of Making it Merry, sponsored by Gossamer Blue! Every Friday, we showcase projects linked to our current issue, so be sure to share your projects for a chance to be featured (and to win great prizes too).

Let's take a look at who caught our eye this week...

1. Amanda put the focus on texture on her beautiful layout, including wood grain paper, sparkly fiber, wood veneer snowflakes, enamel stars and a die cut doily.

2. How adorable is this gingerbread diaper cake Sherrie shared with us? This is one sweet, creative project!

3. The non-traditional holiday colors on Rachel's fresh and pretty page come from a summer collection. That's what I call thinking outside of the box!

4. Wendi's great design includes staggered title work around a stitched circle, little embellishment clusters and a bit of misting.

5. Olatz made a dent in her Thicker collection by creating a number border at the bottom of her page. Look at all of the other little details on here too. How cute is that deer?!?!

6. Lynn created a fabulous pie chart on her fun page about matching holiday pajamas. I love all of the different types of stitching she used too!

7. Cher's layout is based on a sketch which she adapted for her 8 1/2 x 11 page. She put a branch punch to good use, tucking the cuts under her photos and detailing them with festive red pearls.

8. Tammy gifted these pretty packages of chocolate nuggets, all decorated with a festive tag and pretty paper.

9. Heather created this fun page about her pup's wish list detailed on cloud embellishments.

11. Tammy's card definitely qualifies as sweet (and gorgeous too). Her attention to detail is amazing. Just look at the gingerbread cookies, pipe cleaner candy canes and other elements atop a fresh, white doily.

12. I know from personal experience how hard it is to create Hanukkah cards (and layouts for that matter) because of the lack of product available for the holiday. Kudos to Louise for creating this wonderful card in shades of blue, purple, golden yellow and aqua.

Thank you all for sharing your beautiful work with us! Be sure to grab the "my project was featured" button from the sidebar to showcase on your blog.

That's it for this week. Check back next Friday for features from our second week of Making it Merry. Be sure to link your projects so you have a chance to be featured. See you then!
