Free File Friday: Leaves

For the first Free File Friday of October, show us how you use leaf cut files
in your layouts or paper projects!
Here are just a few of the many cut files free from Paper Issues that include leaves:

Stacie here with a scrappy round up on ways to use leaves in your projects!
I wanted to use them as a background layer for my photo
of my youngest son running through the trees.
There are so many beautiful fall collections that Cassie has in the store!
I used a mix of Carta Bella Hello Fall, and
Pebbles Jen Hadfield's  Heart of Home word sentiments paper.
There are three cut files in this design: Boo Pumpkins (orange leaves),

Here's a closer look at the cut files:

Let's see more takes on using leaves!

First up is Lisa, who wows us with her fabulous card-making today. This card features Seek the Mountain Peak cut file and Autumn Blessings cut files.  Hello Fall by Carta Bella is the perfect collection for this autumn beauty!

Wendy brings the lovely floral feels with Cocoa Vanilla Studio and the Rhapsody cut file.
This is such a great way to add layers of cut files to add depth and dimension to a design!
The darker patterned paper and white cut files add contrast along with her gorgeous hand stitching!

Rachel transports us to a summery, tropical island with her use of Crate Paper Oasis and the Tropical Palms cut file to document a recent family trip! Her hand stitching for the hanging banner of swim suits is perfection. It's so awesome that Rachel took the time to journal and "log" her favorites from this vacation before she forgot on this adventure log paper.

Amanda wows us with Simple Stories Vintage Blessings and leaves
from the PI cut file: Seek the Mountain Peak
She used an orange Silhouette sketch pen to create her leaves
and then watercolored them in to coordinate with her background print.
Sketch pens are such a fun way to bring in mixed media with your projects.
I love the dimensional chipboard stickers and ephemera  scattered in the leaves.

Devra was inspired to use her new stash of Carta Bella Welcome Home.
I love the Better Together floral cut file against the rugged woodgrain paper.
It is so rustic and gorgeous! The black ink splatters add to the beauty
of the flowers against the wood backdrop. Devra sure wowed me into "needing this"
Welcome Home collection and free cut file in my shopping cart!

No automatic alt text available.

So there you have it--leaves can be used year round to document all of the things!

Check out the collage posted above for more ideas
of leaf cut files that are offered in the PI free files section of the store.

link each project to (yes, that's right, play along MORE than once--I dare you!!)
The more you play along the more chances you have to win a free gift card to Paper Issues!

Happy cutting out all the cut files that are FREE in the PI shop!
