"Fun in Yorkville" by Tracey Fox

Tracey Fox here! Today, I am sharing a layout I made with the ADORABLE 2x2 Swatch Books from Pink Paislee Turn the Page. I knew as soon as I saw them that I had to have them. I was inspired by Paige Evans' quilty scrapbook style and this story about visiting family in Illinois to cut up the 2x2 patterned sqaures and stitch them together like a quilt on my page.

To create this quilted look, I just cut up a bunch of the squares into triangles, adhered them to the page, and machine stitched back and forth in a diagonal grid. I added another paper from the Turn the Page collection (Paper 19) to the bottom of the page. Then, I printed lots of photos from our trip into small squares and arranged them into a grid of their own to place on the layout.

After getting my title down, I embellished the layout with some of the Amy Tangerine Museum Pins from Hustle & Heart and stickers from the 6x12 Accent Sticker sheet from Shimelle's new Glitter Girl collection. I love how well some of the items from these bright and colorful collections go together!

Have you snatched up a set of those 2x2 patterned swatch books yet? I'd love to see what you make with them!
