..:: mix it up monday ::..

It's time for the Mix It Up Monday challenge!  Challenge: Use embossing powder on your project!

I used this free file from the Paper Issues store, modified it a bit and then used it as a stencil. I applied clear embossing powder (we just got embossing powder in the store here) and it acts as a resist when I add mists or watercolor over the top!  Most of the items you see here are from Dear Lizzy's Lovely Day collection (found here).

Here are a couple of close ups.

Other members of the Paper Issues Design Team got in on the challenge this month. Let's take a look at what they have made for us!

Devra used stencils, stamps, inks and embossing powder on her project. I also spy a free cut file from the Paper Issues Store!

Just look at those beautifully stamped and embossed butterflies that Amanda crafted! Very dreamy design here.

Pol embossed all around the edges of this layout. She also added black embossing powder to the XO. Just look at that stitching though!

Ali applied embossing powder to vellum!  And gloss-ied up the word 'tooth' with some clear powder over black ink. I have to try that vellum idea!

See those flowers? Stacie embossed and watercolored them. They are beautiful! And I love the design element that the stamped and embossed arrows added to this page.

Play along with us this month and share your products in our February Challenge album over in the Paper Issues Friends & Fans group!  Hop on over to the Paper Issues Store and pick yourself up some goodies -- there have been so many new things added to the store lately!  Use the code 'orangegearle' for 20% off your purchase!
