1. As usual, must use mixed media of some kind (paper + paint, texture paste, stamping, etc. whatever suits your fancy).
2. Mostly black and white (or grey counts!) with a pop of color! (photos can be color or B&W).
As your host of this challenge, I, Orange Gearle, used paper, paint, stamps, machine stitching, and messy thread. Here's my take on the challenge:
I used several manufacturers for this, but was completely inspired by the colors in Simple Stories New Year's collection (and I used some of the papers). I also added some washi from my stash and a little bits from several other collections including the party lines from Cocoa Vanilla Studio and Fancy Pants. I started with the black and white and then just shopped my stash for the green and pink that I wanted.
Stacie Dietz used several items from Elle's Studio Good Cheer, silver mist, black mist, white acrylic paint and she stitched some fabulous silver stars. That glorious red cup has never looked better!
Heather Shank used a flower stamp, gelatos, mist and gesso to make this lovely layout. I am in love with that VW van!
Rachel O'Neal used black mist and items from Bella Blvd's Oh My Stars collection and stamps. I completely love the design element she created with that stamping! I may have to lift that technique in my future!
Amanda Baldwin rocked Pinkfresh Studio's Indigo Hills collection with this beautiful layout. She used mixed media elements of ink, watercolor, and stamping.
Now it's your turn! Grab some photos and get started! Share your project with us in the Paper Issues Friends and Fans group! I can't wait to see what you make!
these are incredible ladies. I just love them all.
