December Daily Album Cover - Snow & Cocoa

'Tis the season for December Daily preparation!  This will be my third year documenting our December happenings and it seemed to me that so many people got a very early jump on their albums.  When I first saw Crate Paper's Snow & Cocoa collection I fell in love with the gorgeous pastel colors and festive icons.  I knew it was just what I needed to create a very different December Daily album this year and offer a bit of a challenge to my design as well.  

Not only does the Snow & Cocoa collection have beautiful soft colors, but it also has a pop of black and white.  I chose my album for the graphic black and white design but opted to use some patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pad to tone it down a bit.  A doily from my stash also helped soften the look.  

After adding large gold letters to create a real impact, I embellished the rest of the album using embellishments from the collection - a tree from the chipboard sticker sheet, two snowflakes pieces from the diecut pack, and a title from the 6 x 12 stickers.  The whimsical Thickers are so unique - I bought two packs!  To see how I put this album cover together, you can check out my process on my YouTube channel.  I will be posting videos throughout December as well so you can see how my album comes along.
