October Pinspire Me Mood Board

Are you easily spooked by all the crazy fall decorations that come out in October?  How about all the natural creepy things like webs, and bats and spiders?  This month's Pinspire Me Mood Board is not for the faint of heart.  Pull up your big girl panties and jump 'head' first in this challenge.   (Head, get it?) If you are too afraid, I have softened the board with fresh white pumpkins and an old haunted house, I mean house.  Bwahhhhh.

So, this is what you do.  First, take a look at the mood board.  What are you inspired by?  Do you have a photo or a paper collection perfect for what you have in mind?  Create a project and upload it to our PIFF FB page and be entered for a chance to win a gift card to the Paper Issues store.

The PI team has whined a little when it came to bats and spiders, but I assure you, they all found something else that inspired them to create and play along with this mood board with me.

Let's start with my layout.  I LOVED the tree in the forefront of the haunted house.  I was all in with the spiderweb, black and orange too.  You can totally grab this Simple Stories line in the Paper Issues store.  Get the FREE spiderweb cut file HERE.

Kristie Van Ham grabbed inspiration from the black & white with touches of orange!  What a darling of a photo.  I'll take one of those please!

Heather Shank went completely outside of the box. This mini grabs all the colors from the mood board but not the theme.  Clever and amazing, all in one!

Oh Lisa Swift, using spiders may get you fired!!!  Can you see them?  They are itty bitty, but they are there!  She drew inspo from the skeleton, bats and spider web.  Just adorable.

Rachel O'Neal admit-tingly steered clear of spiders and went with bats instead.  How cute is her mini Batman?

Melanie Funke shared in Rachel's fear of using spiders and used bats too.  I love the fabric at the top that kinda looks like a web to help enhance her Batman photo!

What do you do when you don't have Halloween in your country?  You draw from the colors of the eyeballs instead!  Amanda-jayne Baldwin added in a bit from the blue house and weathered board too.  It is darling.  I love how she has it at a slant.

Carolyn Johnson not only matched the colors but the grid pattern is pretty close too!  I love the cute photos and the little people embellies.

How do you bring the 'web' part of the board into your layout?  One way is to stitch like Stacie Dietz did!  What a fun design with the crazy ephemera faces and tiny bats!

Cassie Box's daughter always provides the perfect photo op.  Take a look at her makeup then take a look at all the detail in the layout.  LOVE the pops of purple and green.

We hope you are inspired to get going on this fun Pinspire Me mood board.
If this board inspired so many DT members, it surely can inspire you too.
