Pocket Pages with Jen :: July Challenge!

Welcome to the July Pocket Page Challenge! Each month Paper Issues brings you new challenges to spark your creativity. They are posted here on the blog and you can play along in our Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group over on Facebook. Share your page(s) and earn a chance to win a gift certificate to the shop! The June Challenge is open through August 1st.

Your July Pocket Page Challenge is to use one (or) any combination of the following:

  • Use patterned paper (6x6" paper pads are perfect to cut up for pockets!)
  • Show page(s) from 2016
  • Use a tag: die cut, hand cut, you name it

Here is my inspiration pocket page spread, using all three of the challenge options! These pages are from the start of May of this year, using mainly the Pink Paislee Fancy Free collection along with the Project Life Currently core kit.

My photos did not have a whole lot of color so, I introduced plenty with my paper choices. Several of my 3x4 pieces were cut from the Fancy Free 6x6 paper pad. I love that the collection patterns are scaled down, making them a great choice for this style of scrapbooking. The top leftt "favorites" tag is from the Fancy Free line, as is the "so happy" circle tag on the bottom left.

Notice that I carried circle and semi-circles throughout the two pages. This is one of the easiest ways to unify a layout! Chose one shape and use it as an an accent over your spread.

How will you use the July Challenge? I cannot wait to see your pocket layouts start rolling in. Have FUN! See you in our Facebook group,
Jen
