Pocket Pages with Jen :: May Challenge!

Welcome to the May Pocket Page Challenge! Each month Paper Issues brings you new challenges to spark your creativity. They are posted here on the blog and you can play along in our Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group over on Facebook. Share your page(s) and earn a chance to win a gift certificate to the shop! The May Challenge is open through June 1st.

Your May Pocket Page Challenge is to use one (or) any combination of the following:

  • Use Project Life brand supplies (cards, embellishments, stickers)
  • Show page(s) from 2016
  • Use a piece - or more! - of flair

For this pocket spread, I used 3x4 cards from both the new Currently core kit and the Midnight edition. They play so well together! My accents include pieces from the PL Currently ephemera, the PL transparent shape stickers and bits and pieces from Swag Bags.

The weather in our part of New York was CRAZY the first week of April. I chose to dedicate a full page to photos comparing what we were doing on April 1st in the sunshine, to the huge swing back to snow and ice on the 3rd. Taking a design cue from the core kits I used, I made up very simple "versus" cards in Photoshop to highlight the contrasts.

The next page goes into several life happenings in the beginning of April, not constrained to one week. I'm digging white space right now and that definitely shows on this page.

I hope that these pages and this month's Challenge has inspired you to join us! Happy creating!
Jen
