1 Cut File - 3 Ways

Welcome back scrappers! This is Rachel Kleinman here to share 3 unique ways to use 1 {free} cut file! I had a lot of fun finding ways to use up every single little bit of that cut paper!

The "Embrace Life" was my first layout using the cut file in the most traditional way... as a cool background pattern. I paired it with a whole-lotta Fancy Free embellishments and papers.. I love the bright colors in every bit of that collection. The photo is of my husband and I at The National Aquarium in Baltimore :) {daaaawwww}

Next I used some of the triangles that were cut out of the file. Since the 12x12 papers are double sided, I was able to use the reverse side of the triangles to get a completely different look!

I glued several columns of triangles, all in different lengths, then sewed them down the middle. I loved the background so much that I really struggled with the rest... but I kept it very simple and I'm happy with the outcome! I used Fancy Free papers and Crate Paper Hello Love embellishments.

For my final layout I pulled out my favorite mixed media products and got messy!

I actually recreated the cut file but using my original cut cardstock as a template for gluing the triangles in the right place...

One by one, I took the triangles off the Silhouette mat and glued them onto my cardstock. Then I covered the entire cardstock in gesso, let it dry, and then colored it with red, pink, and yellow Gelatos.

I love the texture from the triangles... it almost makes the cardstock look embossed!

Thanks for joining me today! You can download the free file HERE and create your own original way to use it on your next layout! Have fun!

Of course you can always use code RWKRAFTS to save 20% off your entire order at Paper Issues!
