Take 5 Tuesday Challenge

Hello, and welcome to 2016! It's Mary Ann here today, and wow, do we have some fun challenges  planned at Paper Issues this year!  I’m especially excited about the new “Take Five Tuesday” Challenge that I will be hosting the first Tuesday of the month. This challenge is open to everyone, and is for the scrapbooker, card maker, pocket pager, and even off the page project makers too. If you are a paper crafter, this challenge is for you! Here’s how it works, each month there will be a list of items to use as inspiration and starting point for your project. From that list, you pick 5 items to use on your project. You can combine your own ideas too, but to play along you must use at least 5 items from the list. You could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!!

Here is this months inspiration list:
1.   the color blue
2.   the color green
3.   the color orange
4.   a snowman or snowflake
5.   die cut
6.   mist or paint
7.   alpha stickers
8.   flair badge or button
9.   a tree
10. a circle
11. sequins
12. title
13. cardstock
14. hand written journaling
15. twine or string (this can be hand stitching, machine stitching, or just as an embellishment)

And here's my layout, using the color blue, a snowflake, die cut, flair badge and circles.

I started my layout with the snowflake, one of this month's FREE cut files, and then layered bits and pieces of papers, washi tape, die cuts and those cute flair badges. I love this little cluster of goodness!

Lisa also joined in on the fun with this darling card by using blue, green, orange, a die cut and alpha stickers. Such a sweet little baby card, Lisa!

Corri made this super cute card using blue, a circle, a button, twine, and die cuts, all from the new Fancy Pants Happy Place Collection. Wouldn't you love getting this card in the mail!!

Michelle used twine, flair, alpha stickers, cardstock, and mist for this pretty summer layout. I love her mix of papers and letters for the title.

Look at the fabulous stitching Enza did on her layout, along with cardstock, mist, die cuts and a title.

Rachel used the ticket stub from her tour of Camden Yards, along with orange, mists, alpha stickers, sequins and stitching. What a great way to remember her special day!

Mary-Ann chose blue, snowman, sequins, cardstock and flair for this wonderful Olaf layout. The October Afternoon paper and embellishments are perfect with the cute photo of her son.

Jennifer went with orange, a title, stitching, alpha stickers and circles on this great twin layout! All those two's are so clever!!

And Becky's 5 items are cardstock, alpha stickers, die cuts, hand journaling, and twine on this wonderful layout about a 5th anniversary. The papers she used look so pretty with her photos!

So how about playing along with the Take 5 Tuesday Challenge!  Remember to link up your project in the January challenge album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group for a chance to win one of two $10 gift cards to the Paper Issues shop!

And...be sure to use code: Mary Ann in the PI store for 20% off your order!
