Although my daughter was already 10 last year, I just had to give in and get her an elf on the shelf. She was so happy on the last day when she got a note saying that for that day only she could play with it!

I generally like/love all the creative work you share with your readers. I was shocked by your first sample. I think this was a really inappropriate venue for this card and will be considered by many as offensive. I was always taught to "know your audience". My 2 cents worth.
