Ephemera Love Affair

I have a great love for ephemera!  Any collection that comes with these glorious little packages of goodness is one I want in my collection.

Unlike some, I have a great deal of difficulty using up current Christmas papers before all the Christmas photos have been taken.  Every year, I have this irrational fear of using up the "good" papers on mediocre photos, worrying that I'll wish I had saved this piece or that, for the photo that was taken on Christmas Eve, or Christmas morning.  This year, is no exception.

Simple Stories Claus & Co. collection has so many wonderful patterned papers I didn't want to use any of them up before I had all my photos for the season taken, in order to choose just the right combo of photos and patterned paper.

That's where the gloriously overflowing package of ephemera comes in.  There are so many pieces that it's easy to have left overs. In fact, I took the opportunity with this layout to combine coordinating bits and pieces from past Simple Stories collections to complete my page.
Both the "insta love" clip above, and the "fun" clip below are from the Say Cheese II collection,
I used the smallest pieces of patterned paper to preserve the bulk of my patterned paper as well as a couple of tear strips from the bottom of 2 different pieces to add just a tad more colour to my page.
Ephemera, chipboard frames, wood veneer, flair buttons, and enamel dots, all work beautifully to help create a layout you'll love even when the papers from the collection may be long used up (or in my case waiting for Christmas to come).  I'm anxious to use up the rest of this collection.  You can still get your hands on plenty of Christmas themed product right here in the Paper Issues store.  Use my code to save 20% off your entire order of holiday and non-holiday themed goodies.

Happy Scrapping friends!
