Die Cutting Saturday

Happy Saturday and welcome to a new Die Cutting Saturday. Let me first start with thanking those who played along with our May cut files, we love to see your work! Congratulations to the winner of a $10 gift certificate to spend in the Paper Issues store: Mandy Melville!

I love how Mandy mixed up some letters of one of the cards and created her title this way, so creative! And how adorable is that picture...so cute! Mandy, please shoot me an email at danielle.de.konink @ gmail.com, so we can get you your gift certificate.

Now on to the new cut file, which is based on the celebration of the 4th of July. But because there are also internationals, like me, who don't celebrate 4th of July, I made this cut file usable for other celebrations and fireworks shows as well. You can download it here in the Paper Issues store for FREE!

For my layout I used pictures of Wishes, the fireworks show at Disney World. I just got my hands on the Bella Blvd Just Add Color collection and I love how you can choose your own colors to complete it. I painted the stars on the background sheet with Heidi Swapp gold color shine.

I sprayed the fireworks card with gold color shine and I watercolored the numbers paper with a water brush.

I also used one of the rockets from the cut file set and backed it with Fancy Pants Designs gold foil paper.

Of course I have some PI girls joining me today and they totally rocked this cut file set!

Becky created this fabulous layout, using up some scraps from her stash, to document her 4th of July celebration. I love how she used the fireworks to create this stunning background. She also nailed it to capture the fireworks in her pictures, we all know how hard it is to take these pics!

Michelle gave this cut file set some good use to document her tween's birthday. The bright colors from the Simple Stories Life Documented collection go so well with celebration and Michelle gives you some great inspiration how to use the cut files in another way than 4th of July!

Corri is one of our card queens and here's another stunning one from her. She used an older Doodlebug collection, which had the perfect colors for her 'Happy 4th of July' card, and a stamp from the Freaking Sentiment Snarky stamp set to complete the sentiment. Also love that blue glitter paper she backed the rocket with!

Now it's your turn, we would love to see what you create with these cut files. You can link up your projects until July 9th for your chance to win a $10 gift certificate to spend in the Paper Issues store!
