I have really fallen in love with all the Fancy Pants collections over the past couple of years. The hint of shabby/vintage is so great, and the colour combinations are easy to match with a variety of events we have chosen to document through photos.
My friend and fellow PI girl, Kelly joined me this week in showing off the versatility of the As You Wish Collection.
How super sweet is that first photo of her mom & dad? I love that Kelly took the time to document this painfully seriously experience of her mother's journey through cancer. It will serve as such a wonderful reminder of the strength, and the courage she demonstrated to her family throughout the process.
I chose to use the collection to document my youngest daughter getting ready to take the stage for her very first Dance Solo.
I loved cutting up the patterned papers, and layering all the bits and pieces of the ephemera package. One of my favourite embellishments in all the new Fancy Pants collections are these Library Cards & Pockets.
I think they are perfect for not only adding colour and design to the layout, but also for recording the story behind the layout, without having to really incorporate it into the design of the layout.
You can get your hands on more Fancy Pants products right here in the Paper Issues shop. If you use my code you'll save 20% off your entire order.
See you back here in a few hours for the release of our brand new issue. The DT projects are going to inspire you to go and create, I promise.
Great layouts Kelly & Sherri!!!!
ReplyDeleteI've been a little obsessed with Fancy Pants for the last year. I'm trying to be patient while waiting for the circus themed collection to hit the stores. Until then, I am using the Be Different collection on just about every page.
