Binge Watch with Wendy

Good morning, everyone! Happy Thursday, Happy Thanksgiving!  Wendy here with you today to share a layout for the brand new Couch Potato challenge. It's part of our monthly Pop Up Crop challenge and the theme this month is food! I'll keep this short and sweet so you can get back to enjoying your family and friends and turkey coma. For this challenge we want you to see those projects featuring your favorite TV shows that you love, your current watch list or even your new couch. I decided to scrap my son's favorite TV shows because he is definitely a couch potato like his momma.

I pulled out the newer line from Simple Stories Family Fun collection. I liked it because it has this fun movie/television ephemera that I wanted to use and you see throughout the layout and in the corner cluster. After seeing there wasn't a whole lot of pieces like I had hoped, I downloaded the free Binge Watch cut file and cut it in black. I backed it with yellow Bella Blvd paper in my stash. I used the star paper from the Family Fun collection to introduce a little bit more color and keep my design simple. I used a star stencil with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink to add a little more yellow to the top of my page for balance. I created a border with Elle's Studio stitching stamps with black StazOn. My little black photo strips is from a steel die in my collection. It's so tiny and cute. I also cut the Popcorn and Movie Night free cut file for little pieces of popcorn. I thought that idea was cute and added more yellow to my layout. I completed my layout by adding little chipboard stars and the self adhesive brads from the Family Fun collection. Take a look at some up close detailed photos of my layout.

Now it's your turn to get creative with this challenge and I hope you are feeling inspired to scrap! The new challenges are SO FUN this month. I can't wait to see what you come up with! Remember to upload your new creations in the October Pop Up Crop album of the Paper Issues Friends and Fan Facebook group. For each new project you enter, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a Paper Issues gift card! You could be a winner so what are you waiting for?! Also share your projects on Instagram. Tag @paperissues and use #paperissues so we can see your projects and maybe share them, too.

Are you in need of supplies before you start creating? If so, you should check out ALL THE NEW THINGS that are in the store.
