Apple of My Eye | Jessica

Hello scrappy friends! Jessica here, and today I’m sharing a layout with you for our “Apple of My Eye” November 2021 challenge! What color of apple is your favorite….green, red, golden? Create a project using that color as the main focus. If that doesn’t seem appetizing to you, then create a layout about someone you love. I’ve used green AND someone I love, my son!

I started by using Vicki Boutin Foundations paper and the packaging or “kissing” technique with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Old Paper, Pine Needles, and Peeled Paint. I dried between layers using the Ranger Heat Tool. I’ve also added some splatters in those colors and painted my wood veneer hearts with Picket Fence Fern Green as I didn’t want to keep them the natural color but instead wanted them to reflect a green color for my layout. I then embellished using Pink Fresh Studio The Best Day collection and made my own die cut leaves with the Hero Arts Leaves die set.

Hop over to my YouTube channel if you’d like to see exactly how this layout came together!

I hope I have inspired you to get crafty and join in the challenge on the Paper Issues Friends & Fans Facebook group! Remember, for each challenge entry, you are entered to win monthly prizes! If you need supplies, feel free to use my code “Jessica” for 20% off in the Paper Issues Store! Have a wonderful scrappy day!
