Discover Happiness with Scraplift Sundays

Hi, everyone! Wendy here with you to start your week with a new Scraplift Sunday. Today we are lifting one of Kelly's layouts. You can see it here. Isn't that layout fantastic? Kelly's layouts are always fun to lift because they always go so fast! I mean, have you seen her scrap live? She whips through a layout and doesn't second guess a thing. But later, if she decides she doesn't like it... she throws it away! Insert the horrified and surprised emoji here! There are so many things to be inspired by--- the mixed media background, the pennant style paper, the layering and clusters! Check out my layout.

What I loved the most about Kelly's layout is the mixed media and all the layers. I even layered my mixed media starting with a grid stencil in Fossilized Amber distress ink. I pulled out a leaf stencil. It's older and I believe from Echo Park. It's one of my favorites and I use it often on fall layouts. I used Rusty Hinge, Barn Door, and Crackling Campfire inks on the leaves. I picked up my Rustic Wilderness pad and the Grime Layering stencil and went right over top my grid and leaves. If you don't have the  Jet Black StazOn ink, you need it! It is the best black I have ever seen. I used that on my Kasiercraft Tiny Dot Texture stamp. It's a go to for me! After my background was good, I grabbed the new Elle's Studio Thankful paper pad. It must have went fast because it's no longer in the store. Along with the sold out paper pad, I used the September labels and Autumn Die Cuts both of which have sold out. Elle's Studio is always so popular so if you see something you like, you better grab it while you can! So I just took all the aforementioned products and layered them in clusters similar to Kelly's original design. For the title, arrows, and little dots, I picked up the new Stories of Us Thickers from the new Vicki Boutin  Fernwood collection. I love those Thickers because they are relatively flat, but still gives a lot of dimension. I also love how scripty the words are much like hand lettering. I admire the look, but can never achieve it myself. Have a look at some up close photos of my layout.
Now it's your turn to get creative with this scraplift challenge and I hope you are feeling inspired! I can't wait to see what you come up with! Remember to upload your new creations in the October Usual Suspects album of the Paper Issues Friends and Fan Facebook group. For each new project you enter, you will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a Paper Issues gift card! You could be a winner so what are you waiting for?! Also share your projects on Instagram. Tag @paperissues and use #paperissues so we can see your projects and maybe share them, too.
