Swag Bag Dream it, Wish it, Do it

Happy Friday!
It’s all about the Paper Issues Swag Bag kit today!
This is my second project made with the February kit.
Yes, these amazing monthly kits are so plentiful,
that I wanted to show you how easy it is to create multiple designs with each kit.
I love the coordinated Paper Issues monthly Swag Bag kits,
and with the February "Write It Down" kit, I was inspired
the numerous Vicki Boutin "All the Good Things" collection items.

To create movement in the background, similar to being poolside with kids, I added mixed media splatters and hand stitching to show the butterfly trail.  I wanted to make this a girly-design as my daughter loves to show us her imaginative side as she is in the pool for hours on vacay.  From handstands, diving, or being a mermaid she loves to dream it up in the pool!

Swag bag papers make the best layers for photos.  I wanted lots of repeated colors and patterns peeking out to connect the colors in the embellishments used in the clusters.  The background stripes were created with a mix of mist and white acrylic paint to match the Vicki Boutin butterfly.

These colors were easy to pull together as this kit contained several All the Good Things ephemera, tags, and journaling spots. The butterfly was a definite must to use!  I had the Jillibean Soup background paper from their Shades of Color collection which coordinated well with the design.

Here's the first layout I created with the February Swag Bag-
a free Paper Issues background cut file and Crate Paper Cute Girl stripe paper called for all
of the bright, colorful Swag Bag embellishments and papers.
Isn't it crazy to see two totally different stylized projects
and color schemes all from one month's kit?!

So there you have it... Swag Bag kits and how to get creative with them!
Cassie has two kits currently available in the shop!!
Yes, grab them both if you haven't already, they never last long in stock!
Here's a quick peek at how the kits look!

I hope I have given you a few ideas to try a swag bag kit
for your layouts, pocket scrapping, or the perfect size
 for Traveler's Notebook designs--vacay scrapping!
