Put A Bow On It!

Hello friends! It's Rachel here and I'm so happy to be back and sharing this sweet layout with you! I'm in love with the combination of colors and patterns in Shimelle's Glitter Girl collection. My inspiration for this layout was mixing all of the pink and yellow patterns together! With so many patterns to choose from I knew I was only going to be able to show glimpses of each one and so I decided to layer and angle them at the top and bottom of my layout. I even used several of the strips that come at the bottom of the 12x12 patterned paper. Have you ever noticed that many of them have patterns on them? When I cut them off, I usually save them because they are perfect for designs just like this!

My favorite pink paper in this collection is Spell It Out and my favorite yellow paper is Snap To It! In the middle of the page I added a black and white selfie of my family. Love them so much! When I have a layout with so much bold colors I love printing off my photo in black and white so the colors don't clash or compete with the layout. I added some older Amy Tangerine thickers for my title, enamel dots, and a few piece of ephemera from the Glitter Girl collection! BUT - my absolute favorite embellishment is this adorable black and white striped bow from Maggie Holmes' Carousel collection! They sold out so quick I totally missed them the first time they arrived in the Paper Issues store. Gasp! So when they restocked I was sure to grab not one but two packs!!! You can find them here and grab them for yourself!

I hope I've inspired you to create! Thanks so much for stopping by today. Need some retail therapy in the form of paper goodies??! Hop on over to the Paper Issues store and save 20% with my code RACHEL.
