Well it's that time of year! As a teacher, August means back to school - thinking about getting my classroom ready, ordering school supplies and making lesson plans. This August will be bittersweet for me as my maternity leave comes to an end and I return to teaching at a new school!
So this month I challenge you to create a pocket page (any size!) that has to do with school or extracurricular activities. Think school photos, children's artwork or handwriting, graduation photos, candids from a field trip, books you're reading, prom photos, photos from a sporting event ... anything that makes you think of school or education! The only limit is your imagination!
My daughter, Norah just recently finished up her first season of soccer and we received the team photo and individual photo at her last game. I displayed them for a few weeks and then decided to include them in my weekly pocket pages album as an insert. I used Crate Paper's Cute Girl and Shimelle's Little By Little collection, along with a few items from my stash. If you'd like to see how this page came together, you can view my process here.
Anna played along documenting a very bittersweet moment - her daughter's last day of preschool. I love the use of the large photo cut to fit multiple pockets. How great does it look using one patterned paper for most of her pockets!? I would never have thought to do that - it looks so good! She used the gorgeous new collection from Maggie Holmes. You can find the Carousel collection in the Paper Issues store here.
Stacie's layout is all about Back To School! I love that her entire family is documented in this layout. She used Simple Stories' Old School Collection. Plus the use of school supplies like a paper clip and binder clip as embellishments is just too perfect! You can find all sorts of Simple Stories goodies here in the Paper Issues store.
