Scrap Soup! - May

We have a brand new challenge for you this month, say hello to Scrap Soup!!
Each month I will give you a "recipe" to follow. You can make the recipe your own by adding more "ingredients" but you must use everything listed in the original recipe. Sound like fun??
Here is this month's Scrap Soup recipe...

Did you notice the long rectangles can be any width? Yes they can! And for embellishments, it can be something as simple as 7 enamel dots, or 7 buttons, or kick it up a notch by adding 7 die cuts or 7 tags. It's up to you how many ingredients you want to add!

For my layout, I used the new Family & Co. by Fancy Pants Designs, I love the patterned papers in this collection, they are so bright and colorful!!  I followed the recipe, making sure I had all the rectangles, 7 embellishments and 4 words. I added in a few extra embellishments, and if you count the words on my tag, title and patterned paper, I ended up with a lot more than 4 words!

Amanda played along with the challenge too, using the Hazelwood collection from 1canoe2 for American Crafts.  I love her black and white photo with the soft lavender and yellow. So very pretty!

Ann wowed us with this layout using the Pink Fresh Dream On collection, I love how she added the little nest of thread in with her embellishments. What sweet photos of her daughter and son!

Devra used Amy Tangerine's On a Whim collection, documenting the day she found a bottle of wine with her son's name on it. The "chill" ephemera piece is perfect for this page!!

Anna's layout was made with the Simple Stories Say Cheese III collection, I know a lot of people use Say Cheese for Disney layouts, but here it is as an everyday moment layout, and I think it's so cute!!

Kristy is our pocket page girl, and she even found a way to play along too! Check out how she folded and wrapped her long rectangle pieces around her journling cards and date card. So very clever!!
