Take 5 Tuesday Challenge - April!

It's Mary Ann here with the April Take 5 Tuesday Challenge!! As always, we have an idea and inspiration list for you, so pick your 5 and start creating! If you're new to Take 5 be sure to read all the way to the bottom for our simple instructions, we'd love to have you join in on the fun!

For my layout, I went with black as my color of choice, and then for my other 4 items used patterned paper, polka dots, 2 or more fonts, and a bow. You guys all know how much I love scrapping old black and white photos, and I especially like how this one looks with the black background mixed with lots of bright colors!

And, since I like to use scraps, that circle design is a left over piece of paper from another project. This is the backside of the paper that I had cut a circle from. I just cut around it by hand and had my own wonky circle!

Lisa joined in on the challenge and came up with this sweet little card. Her idea of layering the tags is so clever, and I like the button tied with twine. So cute, Lisa! She used the color turquoise, bow, patterned paper, layers and buttons.

Rachel used the new Sweet Freedom collection from Pink Paislee. Sweet Freedom has a bit of a patriotic feel to it, but I love how Rachel used it for more of an "everyday" kind of layout of her two cute boys. Her 5 items are color of choice, patterned paper, stars, layers and cardstock.

I always refer to Ann as the "Queen of Straws" and once again, she has used them so perfectly as an embellishment on her layout. Along with those fun straws, she mixes in turquoise, color of choice, patterned papers and the word spring.

Look at this beautiful layout from Pol, I love that huge flower layered over the frame paper! Her 5 prompts from the list are: turquoise, color of your choice, patterned paper, polka dots and two or more fonts.

This pretty book paper and embellishments from the Oh My Heart collection were made to go with Raechelle's photos!! What a sweet memory of her granddaughter looking at a favorite book. She uses color of choice, patterned paper, polka dots, two or more fonts, bow, layers, wood veneer, cardstock, buttons and washi tape!

Kristie wowed us with TWO (yes two!) pocket page layouts for this month's Take 5!! For her first spread, she uses turquoise, yellow, pink as her color of choice, patterned paper, two or more fonts and wood grain. And as always, she has the most darling photos!!

For spread #2, Kristie uses turquoise, yellow, patterned paper, numbers, stars and layers. What a wonderful way to document life with her two sweet girls!!

Annelie captured this special moment after her daughter finished a triathlon, I love all the layers under the photo!! Her 5 items are turquoise, yellow, color of choice, patterned paper, polka dots, two or more fonts, layers and cardstock. She also used the FREE magic cut file from the Paper Issues store.

This layout from Amanda uses the beautiful Magnolia Jane collection by Heidi Swapp. I also see a little bit of the black and white houndstooth paper Cassie uses to wrap all the Paper Issues packages with. Very clever Amanda!! She chose color of choice, patterned paper, two or more fonts, stars, layers and washi tape.

This amazing layout from Ali is so eye catching with the title on a diagonal! I really want to scraplift this one!! Turquoise, yellow, 2 fonts, bows and stars completes her design.

Michelle mixed together turquoise and pink (her color of choice) along with pattern papers, layers, wood grain and cardstock, all from the Wild at Heart collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio.  How cute are those flair buttons as the center of her flowers! Such a beautiful layout, Michelle!

I love the title and how it "wraps" around all those fab circles on Devra's layout! Such a cute play on words that go so perfectly with her photo! Her 5 items from the idea and inspiration list are the color yellow, color of choice (blue), patterned paper, stars, cardstock and wood veneer.

Stacie's layout makes me wish for warm summer days! She used turquoise, patterned paper, number, two or more fonts, layers, wood veneer and cardstock along with that great action photo of her son.

And last but certainly not least we have this fun layout from Renee. Don't you just love how she used that Criss Cross Background cut file! It's available for FREE in the Paper Issues store!! Along with the cut file she used the color yellow, patterned paper, polka dots, two or more fonts and layers.
