A K.I.S.S. layout (keep it simple stupid!)

Hey hey everyone, it's Cathy back with my March blog post!  So one of the things I try to do when I'm coming up with a blog post is to challenge myself with something new or different from my usual scrappy habits.  Well this time I was kind of drawing a blank.  I realized how many of those "perfect" pictures I still had stashed, just waiting for an amazing layout to be featured in.  I decided to stop being afraid to scrap them and use a tried and tested formula for creativity.  Keep It Simple Stupid or Keep it Scrapped Simple ;) When in doubt of what to do, try doing something familiar, something you know will work!  For me that was a grid design.  I don't do grid designs very often, but I really love seeing when others do them.  A grid design helps so much because you know where your pictures are going to go, all you have to do is embellish your squares! I also kept it simple by using primarily the same collection, that way everything looks cohesive and I don't have to worry too much!  So next time you're in a bit of a scrappy rut, why not give a simple grid design a try, and don't be afraid to scrap those "perfect" photos!
