Welcome to the June Pocket Page Challenge! Each month Paper Issues brings you new challenges to spark your creativity. They are posted here on the blog and you can play along in our Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} group over on Facebook. Share your page(s) and earn a chance to win a gift certificate to the shop! The June Challenge is open through July 4th.
Your June Pocket Page Challenge is to use one (or) any combination of the following:
- Use Swag Bag supplies (Swag Bags are pure Paper Issues awesomeness!)
- Show page(s) from 2016
- Add ephemera - a receipt, a screenshot, tickets, a food label. Stuff of life!
Here is my inspiration pocket page spread, using all three of the challenge options! I worked my pages around a basic color scheme of green, orange and light blue. I like to find a way to unify my photos and often will let the colors in the pictures guide my paper choices. The photos here were all take during the last week of May 2016.
Can you spot the Swag Bag pieces here? I used the little orange label and the polka dot washi strip, both from the latest bag.
Ephemera! It's something that I don't use often enough in my pages but, when I look back at my albums, those pieces are some of my favorites. They tell a story of life now and preserve bits of today. Here I have used a screen shot of an Orange is the New Black television ad (currently working though Season 2) and a piece of kiwi packaging, my oldest son's favorite fruit of the moment.
How will YOU play along? I cannot wait to see the entries this month! If you need supplies to get you going, use code JENBOOM in the Paper Issues shop for 20% off any order. Enjoy!
Jen
