Take 5 Tuesday - May Challenge!

It's Mary Ann here again with our monthly Take 5 Tuesday Challenge, and we would love for you to play along! Take 5 is open to everyone, and is for the scrapbooker, card maker, pocket pager, and even off the page project makers too. If you are a paper crafter, this challenge is for you! In case you are new to Take 5, here's how it works: I give you a list of items to use as inspiration and starting point for your project. From that list, pick 5 items to use on your project. You can more than 5, and combine your own ideas too, but to play along you must use at least 5 items from the list. You could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!!

And here is this month's inspiration list:

For my layout, I used the the color red, an ampersand, flair button, 3 papers and the date, along with pretty paper and embellishments from the Life in Color collection from Simple stories.  Don't you love that cute camera sticker!

Some of the design team girls made projects to inspire you too!  First up is Chelsea with this super cute layout using 3 papers, a title, circles, red and black.  The mix of stars, polka dots and chevron designs look great together!

Michelle's layout uses red and black, a circle, ampersand, string, flair button and a title. That die cut ampersand makes such a cool background for her amazing layout!

How about this darling card from Lisa! Perfect for Teacher Appreciation week, or a thank you note for a co-worker. Lisa always makes the cutest cards!

Melissa was a busy girl this month and made TWO Take 5 layouts!! First up the beauty using a combination of the color black, a circle, journaling, title, 3 papers and the date on this beautiful layout. The bright colors are so striking with the black stripe borders and gold title! So pretty!!

For her second layout, Melissa used an ampersand, chipboard, title, 3 papers and the date. Another beautiful layout using a large flower and highlighting a single photo.

Ann played along too with this wonderful layout! She water colored her background using a stencil, then added a title, chipboard, a frame and the colors red and black. So very clever!!

Rachel's beautiful layout uses a circle, string, title, the color red and the date along with the new Fancy Free collection by Pink Paislee, and the new FREE arrow cut file available in the Paper Issues shoppe!! I love the stitching on this!!!

How about this wonderful layout from Janet! She used a title, 3 papers, journaling, the date and the color black. I love how Janet colored in the letters on the background!

And finally, a layout from Tegan's documenting her sweet little pups. She used the color black, circles, chipboard, frames and a title. I especially like how she used the days of the week chipboard!!

So how about playing along too!! Link up your projects in the May Challenge Album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group for your chance to win the Paper Issues gift certificate. The deadline to enter this and all May Challenges is June 5th.
