Traveler's Notebook insert/Mini book.

Hello, PI friends!  I don't know about you, but when I see pretty paper I can't help myself.  I have to have it all!  My stash keeps growing and my pretty paper gets buried in it.  Today I want to show you one of my favorite ways to incorporate older collections into your projects.

I have pre-ordered a We R Memory Keepers Traveler's Notebook, and while waiting for it to arrive I have decided to make my own inserts.

First thing first...I chose the color scheme.  Soft and airy, with splashes of colors.  I mixed up collections by Pink Fresh Studio, Amy Tangerine, Pink Paislee, and Heidi Swapp.

My Silhouette Cameo always comes in handy for this type of projects.  Each paper measures 8.33" H x 8.66" W.  I designed my own shape, with rounded corners and a dotted line in the middle (to make it easier to sew).

Once I had all my papers ready, I glued the sides I didn't mind covering up (very difficult decision!) back to back, and hand-sewn them together.  You can use a sewing machine, if you prefer.

I'm going to use this insert/mini book for all the lovely things that are in my life, and I want to keep it with me at all times to jot down any thoughts that come to mind.

  1. I make a lot of inserts for my various TNs - - why have I never thought to make one with all sorts of pretty paper inside?! OMGosh, world changed! Thanks so much for the great idea. I absolutely love the papers you selected.
