Take 5 Tuesday - March Challenge

Hello PI friends, it's Mary Ann here with the March Take Five challenge!! As always,  Take 5 is open to everyone, and is for the scrapbooker, card maker, pocket pager, and even off the page project makers too. If you are a paper crafter, this challenge is for you! In case you're new to Take 5, here's how it works, I give you a list of items to use as inspiration and starting point for your project. From that list, pick 5 items to use on your project. You can combine your own ideas too, but to play along you must use at least 5 items from the list. You could win a gift card to the Paper Issues store!!

Here's this month's inspiration list:
  1. the color yellow
  2. the color white
  3. the color blue
  4. polka dots
  5. a cloud
  6. enamel dots or shapes
  7. a title
  8. 2 patterned papers
  9. a flower
10. a poem or quote
11. something silver
12. an envelope
13. 2 photos
14. cardstock
15. an animal (this could be a photo of your pet, a picture from the zoo, a flamingo sticker etc. you get the idea!

For my layout, the five items I chose to use are: the color yellow, the color blue, a title, a flower, and an animal (that sweet little deer!) all from Crate Paper's new Bloom collection by Maggie Holmes.

I used a mixture of flowers and leaves that I fussy cut from the patterned paper, along with pieces from the ephemera pack, and also added a few water colored vines and leaves too.
See that cute little card with the yellow heart?? I tucked it behind the flower so only the numbers 15-16 and 01 show, perfect for this school layout since it's the 2015-2016 school year, and my girl is in 1st grade.  I love when things work out like that :)

Now here's some more inspiration from the design team...

Enza chose the color blue, two patterned papers, a flower, title and polka dots as her items from the inspiration list. That flower cluster is so pretty!

Janet used yellow, enamel dots, a title, 2 patterned papers and 2 photos for her first day of school layout. I love the bright colors and how the black and white photos take center stage.

Look at this darling card from Lisa! She combined yellow, blue and white along with polka dots and enamel dots. What a wonderful card for a new baby boy!

Jennifer chose yellow, blue and white, along with something silver and a title for her 5 inspiration items. Thanks for playing along with this beautiful layout, Jennifer!

Tegan's layout, has a mix of white, cardstock, enamel dots, a title and for the "animal" category on the inspiration list, she used this sweet photo of her and her pup Tinkerbell. So cute!!

How about giving the Take 5 challenge a try?? The project you enter is a chance to win a gift card to the Paper Issues store.  Link up your projects in the March Challenge Album in the Paper Issues {Friends & Fans} Facebook group by April 6 and show us how creative you can be!
