Welcome to our new issue Chalk One Up to Your Own Style, sponsored by Paper Issues! Not only do we have a great theme for you to work with, but FREE chalkboard printables and a cut file to coordinate with the issue are available for download in the Paper Issues store. They were both designed by our very own Danielle de Konink. We'd love to see how you incorporate these into your project(s).
By linking up and linking back to the Paper Issues blog, you're playing along for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Paper Issues store.
Before we get to the details of this issue, let's take a look at what our design team created with product available in the Paper Issues store.
Note: Clicking on each design team members' name will take you to their blog where you can see their project in more detail.
Here are some project ideas for Chalk One Up to Your Own Style. These ideas are just to get you started. Take them in any direction you'd like. Thinking outside of the box is always welcome.
- First, and foremost, don't be shy. Showcase your crafting style.
- Add the number one to your project, either as an embellishment or as part of your title.
- Do you follow fashion trends and styles? How about current scrapbooking trends?
- Show us pages about playing with sidewalk chalk.
- Back in "the day", teachers used to write on chalkboards, so let's see some school pages.
- Use the free chalkboard printables and/or cut file designed for this linky party on your project.
- Have you altered a chalkboard or used chalkboard paint on a creation?
- Dig into your stash of chalk inks and do some stamping or use them to change the color of white alphas or other items.
- Download May's free printable, My Peeps/Obsessed, from the Paper Issues store and use one or more of the cards on your project.
1. Link up as many projects as you'd like. They can be new OR something you've already created. There are many options for linking up: from your blog, Instagram, Flickr, Pinterest or a photo hosting site.
2. LINK BACK to Paper Issues between now and May 10th. To link back means to add a brief statement to your blog post that says something like, "I'm playing along with the (name of issue) linky party at Paper Issues." You would then link the words "Paper Issues" back to the issue. If you're linking from somewhere else, you can mention the linky party in your description or use the hashtag #paperissues.
Linked projects project may be shared on the Paper Issues Facebook page, Instagram, Pinterest and/or right here on the Paper Issues blog during one of our Fan Feature Friday posts (plus you don't want to miss out on the chance to win a great prize, do you?)
