Perhaps you've heard of this little scrappy method known as Project Life. A fabulous way to record the everyday moments in the life of your family without feeling the need to invest in a lot of product, or tools. Becky Higgins is the queen of Project Life, or PL as it's come to be known. She recently released a slew of new PL sets for just about every possible theme you may want to work with. They are great on their own, and can also be easily mixed and matched by either theme or colour.
Today I have a real treat for you as I have asked several of our DT girls, to share with us how they tackle documenting their day-to-day, and how they put these fabulous little packages to good use.
I have been a longtime fan of the way Jen Boumis is able to keep up with her PL even with 3 cutie-pie little people under foot. The simplicity with which she documents is both eye catching with it's clean lines, and inspiring as you realize it doesn't take much to complete a week with just a few cards, a handful of stickers and a pen.
Meaghen showcased the Notes & Things PL collection wonderfully as she captured her family's week.
Orange kept true to her fun, and vibrant style with this gorgeous spread using the Desktop PL core kit.
Isn't it amazing how much just a little stitching here and there can add to a simple journal card? |
Heather got a little creative with her numbers here, pretty smart if you ask me.
I have always been a fan of how well Kelly using PL cards in a nontraditional manner by creating layouts with them. Perfect for those of us drawn to the look and design of the 2x3 or 4x6 cards but not especially committed to pocket style scrapping. She created this lovely layout, both is subject and in colour and design.
Kelly really made the classic design of these cards on the black cardstock pop with her little touches of red and gold throughout.
Cassie also played along this week. And created this stunning layout with aqua themed cards.

Becky also went the non-traditional route and created this sweet layout of her adorable niece.
Adding in touches of veneer with the gold PL cards allowed Becky to utilize the cards for an everyday moment, rather than a special occasion as one may be tempted to reserve gold touches for.
With so many products at our fingertips it great when we can find a way to use our products in ways outside of the proverbial box keeping out stash manageable.
You can see from just these few projects how the variety the Becky Higgins PL packages come in. You can get your hands on several different collections right here in the Paper Issues store. Happy shopping!
